ALL CHARTER NEWS | About UsQuail Hollow Homeschool offers parents and children an opportunity to take part in an individualized educational plan under the guidance of credentialed teachers, exploring their own unique interests intertwined with meeting the Common Core expectations of our district. Also, students can participate in ongoing, multi-age, hands-on enrichment, teacher-led classes and activities two days of the week. We know children need time to play and imagine. All of our class activities are geared for collaborative experiences and social opportunities. Our program also has a visual and performing arts component focusing on the production of a play each year. We provide a homeschool resource library, filled with books, games, and materials for checkout. Parent involvement is encouraged and there are monthly parent meetings as well as regular email correspondence. Field trips, a traditional beginning of the year camping trip, networking, and volunteer opportunities all contribute to a rich homeschool experience. Each year, our program has a theme which is supported through class activities and often used as an area for interest for families to continue their work at home. We are super excited to announce our theme for the 2017-18 school year: Adventures through Literature! Students have the opportunity to participate in ongoing, multi-age, hands-on enrichment teacher-led classes and activities two days of the week. These classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am - 1:30pm. The kindergarten day is shorter, and pick up time for them is by the end of lunch at 12:30pm.
